Conducting Cash sales using POS
Processing customers orders with certain lead time: the orders can be stored in the system, modified, exchanged with the customer, etc;
Recording and controlling implementation of the jobs; quotations, etc;
Inventory control; Purchasing of Stock;
Catalogue management, creation of catalogues for the different customers;
CRM : automatic download; keeping the list of customers with the list
of related orders; appointment book; list of activities related to the customer, e-mail broadcast, e-mail actions, scheduled messages, autoreplies, etc.;
Conducting the basic accounting;
Cash sales using POS
Scan the barcode of the item using the barcode scanner;
Press Sale button, input the cash amount;
if configured, press "Cash Drawer" to open the cash drawer;
press "Receipt" to print the receipt;
if not, configured press "OK"; the Sale Order is recorded in the system;
The order lines represent specify list of the items sold;
Process the single batch of Sale Orders - press "list"
button on "Orders" pane; the "Sale" transaction will be created in "Accounts";
The orders will be linked to the transaction; the total amount will be added to the appropriate "Sales" account; the same amount will be subtructed from the "Inventory" account; the total tax amount will be added to Tax account;
The amount of inventory will be adjusted accordingly
Process the single order (if needed) by pressing "Acounnt" button on the order pane; all the operations as specified above will be conducted for this particular sale transaction.
Processing customers orders
Receive the order electronically, or create the order manually
Press the button "Process" to move the order to "Processing" stage;
that may be needed to collect or assemble the items needed for the shipment
Allocate the stock for the order, the amount of stock allocated will be reduced, the total amount remains unchanged;
Press the button "Approve", "Modify" or "Cancel" to record the approval status
Press the button "Confirm", the order is moved to "Confirmed" stage.
Press the button "Accounts", the order is moved to accounts
(similarly to Cash sale), the appropriate amounts of "Sales", "Inventory"
and "Tax" accounts are adjusted; the inventory amount is adjusted.
Job Implementation: Work Orders
Similar to Sales orders, the difference that the order includes information on inventory, labour, use of equipment as well as records implementation stages;
Inventory Control
Check the inventory amounts in the different locations
Update the amount if conducting the stocktake
If the level of stock falls below the specified limit, the record will be added to the "Stock Alert" list
You can generate the purchase order for the new stock;
The processing stages for the purchase order are specified as "Submitted"
and "Completed", pressing "Accounts" on the completed purchase order will adjust the balances in the appropriate accounts for "Inventory" "Cash" and "Tax"
Catalogue Management
Create the new stock item either manually, or by reading the bar code using POS component ad pressing the button "NEW STOCK"; the new record will appear in the "POS: Stock" pane with the stock name "New Stock";
Set the correct name for the stock item and all necessary details
Set the price for the stock item
Press the "List" button, the inventory item panel will appear
set the total amount for the inventory item
Create the product group if needed; add the stock item to the product group
Create the new Catalogue; set the dates when the catalogue is valid; add the customers to the catalogue from the list;
Configure which stock item tables will be exposed in this catalogue, to do that, ad the appropriate tables to the catalogue
